He has been trained in Reparative Therapy by its founder, Joseph Nicolosi, Ph.D.  Although this therapy is especially useful for treating unwanted same-sex attraction (SSA), it is able to help individuals overcome other types of unwanted compulsions by healing their early emotional attachment traumas.

Thomas also received special education in Affirmation Therapy (Baars and Terruwe model) by Fr. Brian Mullady, O.P., while attending Holy Apostles College.

Thomas is pro-life and pro-marriage. He and his wife were married by Fr. Marx at San Secondo D'Asti Catholic Church in Guasti, CA where they are parishoners.
